‘Shōgun’ (Hulu)

Based on James Clavell’s novel, FX’s Shōgun is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.

‘Spaceman’ (Netflix)

Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late.

‘God Save Texas’ (Max)

Tales of Texas told through the lenses of three directors, chronicling the state's past, present and future.

‘The Tourist (Season 2)’ (Netflix)

Set against the striking backdrop of Ireland, The Tourist Series 2 sees Elliot (Jamie Dornan) and Helen (Danielle Macdonald) confronted by friends and foes. As they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past, they are soon dragged into a longstanding family feud where they face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.

‘Napoleon’ (Apple TV+)

‘The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin’ (Apple TV+)

Dick Turpin (Noel Fielding) sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws — and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde (Hugh Bonneville). In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Turpin is the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship and great hair.

‘Me, Hereafter’ (Hulu)

A gripping true crime series following murder investigations. Combining investigative footage, interrogation videos, dramatic reenactments and interviews, it gives voice to victims as detectives uncover the truth.

‘War Pony’ (Paramount+)

At 23, Bill (Jojo Bapteise Whiting) just wants to make something of himself. Whether it’s syphoning gas, delivering goods or breeding Poodles, he is determined to carve his way to the “American Dream”. Meanwhile, 12-year-old Matho (LaDainian Crazy Thunder) can’t wait to become a man. Desperate for approval from his young, unavailable father, a series of destructive decisions turns Matho’s life upside down and he finds himself unequipped to deal with the harsh realities of the adult world.

‘Iwájú’ (Disney+)

he exciting coming-of-age story follows Tola, a young girl from the wealthy island, and her best friend, Kole, a self-taught tech expert, as they discover the secrets and dangers hidden in their different worlds. Kugali filmmakers—including director Olufikayo Ziki Adeola, production designer Hamid Ibrahim and cultural consultant Toluwalakin Olowofoyeku—take viewers on a unique journey into the world of “Iwájú,” bursting with unique visual elements and technological advancements inspired by the spirit of Lagos.

‘Abbot Elementary (Season 3)’ (Hulu)

A group of dedicated teachers are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed. The touching and hilarious sitcom is back for a third season, with the first five episodes now streaming.

‘Tokyo Vice (Season 2)’ (Max)

Loosely inspired by Jake Adelstein's first-hand account, this crime drama follows the young American journalist as he descends into the neon-soaked underbelly of late '90s Tokyo, where nothing and no one are what they seem. The first five episodes are now streaming.

‘The New Look’ (Apple TV+)

Set against the World War II Nazi occupation of Paris, The New Look focuses on the pivotal moment in the 20th century when the French city led the world back to life through its fashion icon Christian Dior. As Dior rises to prominence with his groundbreaking, iconic imprint of beauty and influence, Chanel’s reign as the world’s most famous fashion designer is put into jeopardy. ‘Ninja Kamui’ (Max)

‘Constellation’ (Apple TV+)
