Coming Attractions: Movies to Look Forward to in March 2024

Dune: Part Two finally arrives, Godzilla and King Kong team up, the Ghostbusters return and imaginary friends come to life in terrifying ways this month at the movies.

‘Dune: Part Two’ March 1st (Theaters)

Get ready for the movie event of the year, if not the decade. You’re gonna wanna see this on the biggest screen possible. The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The sequel will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

‘Love Lies Bleeding’ March 8th (Theaters)

In this dark romantic thriller, Lou (Kristen Stewart) is a reclusive gym manager who falls hard for Jackie (Katy O'Brian), an ambitious bodybuilder who's heading to Las Vegas to pursue her dream. Their love soon leads to violence as they get pulled deep into the web of Lou's criminal family.

‘Imaginary’ March 8th (Theaters)

When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister. As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.

‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ March 8th (Theaters)

For the first time in almost a decade, Jack Black returns to his role as Po, the world’s most unlikely kung fu master, with a hilarious, butt-kicking new chapter in DreamWorks Animation’s beloved action-comedy franchise: Kung Fu Panda 4. After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior. But there’s been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon (Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. And Chameleon has her greedy, beady little eyes on Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm.

‘Road House’ March 21st (Prime Video)

In this adrenaline-fueled reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.

‘Late Night with the Devil’ March 22nd (Theaters)

Written, directed and edited by Australian siblings Cameron and Colin Cairnes, Shudder's latest theatrical endeavor is a found footage film for the ages. Starring David Dastmalchian, the film follows a live television broadcast in 1977 that goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation's living rooms.

‘Immaculate’ March 22nd (Theaters)

Sydney Sweeney stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.

‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ March 22nd (Theaters)

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. ‘Sleeping Dogs’ March 22nd (Theaters)

Suffering from memory loss, a former homicide detective (Russell Crowe) tries to solve a brutal murder that he can't recall. As he pieces together evidence from a decade-old investigation, he soon uncovers a sinister web of buried secrets tied to his forgotten past.

‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ March 29th (Theaters)
