Revered Los Angeles muralist Robert Vargas unveils tribute to Eddie Van Halen

For the last month LA-based artist Robert Vargas has been working on a mural in the middle of the city to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Eddie Van Halen.

Documenting his process consistently via his won social media platform, Vargas has been working against the clock to get the project done in time to reveal on what would have been the Van Halen's 66th birthday.

Inviting fans to stop by throughout the entirety of his process, Vargas has seemingly fed off the fans that share the same love and admiration for the once in a lifetime talent that was Eddie Van Halen.

The mural is titled "Long Live the King" and serves as Vargas' latest addition in the beautification of his home, Los Angeles. Vargas is noted for work throughout the city and was the artist behind the Suicidal Tendencies mural feature Mike Muir that was revealed in 2017 entitled "Can't Stop".

Eddie Van Halen passed away after an arduous battle with cancer back in October of 2020. He was just 65 years old.
