Drink Loud, Drink Proud: Knotfest bridges metal and craft beer with the monthly Beer Pit
Knotfest has launched their own monthly beer club designed to give fans of aggressive music the chance to share the love for quality beer.
The Beer Pit will offer a carefully curated collection of craft beers from a growing rotation of respected breweries. Helmed by Advanced Cicerone® Adam Zuniga, host of The Six Most Metal Breweries, each month will include a offering of four different beers from four different breweries totaling 8 cans in all delivered right to your door.
Members will also gain access to virtual tasting events with the head brewers as well as exclusive gifts from breweries to make for quite the care package.
For the introductory installment of the March box of the Knotfest Beer Pit, the following beers have been slayed and selected by Zuniga.
Belching Beaver Brewery (Oceanside, CA)
Phantom Bride IPA, 7.1% ABV
Named after the ethereal song by the one and only Deftones, Phantom Bride IPA is a blend of Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops delicately balanced for the perfectly drinkable mix of citrus and hoppy goodness. A truly original Deftones x Belching Beaver collaboration envisioned by Chino Moreno and skillfully crafted by Thomas Peters. The popularity of the beer has taken the collaboration from one-off to part of the brewery's core offering.
Adroit Theory Brewing Company (Purcellville, VA)
EBK Hazy Double IPA
A soft + pillowy hazy DIPA with a creamy, juicy, and semi-sweet body. Minimal apparent booziness and only slight bitterness for balance. Citrus and floral aromatics give way to fruit forward notes of pineapple and orange peel, with slight pine on the finish. Double dry-hopped with El Dorado, Galaxy, Mosaic and Citra.
Kings County Brewers Collective (Brooklyn, NYC)
Morbid Hour Black Pilsner, 4.666% ABV
Collaboration with Saint Vitus Bar for Six Most Metal Breweries, a supremely crushable dark lager here to steal your soul and destroy your dreams. Toasted layers of pilsner, chocolate and black malt, balanced hop bitterness, with medium body and a spritzy finish. Dark-yet-light. Black bread in liquid form. Subtle and smooth. Drink it all night.
Wayfinder Beer (Portland, OR)
Hell Lager, 4.7% ABV
Our brewmaster Kevin Davey is a card-carrying lagerphile; we think this beer may show it off the best. Super clean, refreshing, distinctive, with a nice hint of Hallertauer hops. The gold standard for golden lagers. Voted Oregon Beer of the Year and 2019 Great American Beer Festival™ winner.
The March Box of the KNOTFEST BEER PIT ships the week of March 22, 2021. Each package comes with 8 cans in total, two (2) of the same beer from four (4) different breweries.
