Corey Taylor talks cancel culture and the possibility of a fifth book with Matt Pinfield
Among rock music's most articulate frontmen, Corey Taylor sat in for a session with venerated pop culture commentator and respected music journalist Matt Pinfield on the KLOS series, New & Approved.
The multi-talented Taylor touched on several topics during the half-hour conversation, including his most recent acoustic release of the CMFT track, Samantha's Gone, some vague hints at what is on the horizon for Slipknot, and his take on the age of outrage.
At about the 17:00 minute mark in the video below, Pinfield inquires about the possibility of Taylor penning another book. Taylor confided that his last literary effort in 'America 51: A Probe Into the Realities That Are Hiding Inside the Greatest Country in the World', became an exhausting experience given the divisive, political climate of the time.
Needing a bit of time and distance from his last book, Taylor has found it increasingly urgent to address the prevalence of cancel culture such that it's giving him the urge to get to typing again.
