Season 2 of The Mandalorian arrives October 30th
The expectations associated with the very first live-action Star Wars series were understandably lofty, however, the excitement surrounding the announcement of season 2 of The Mandalorian suggests the show has certainly delivered.
The show's 15 Emmy nominations also bodes well in affirming that the series is much more than fandom indulgence. Between its nominations for outstanding drama series and outstanding visual effects, among various other categories, Lucasfilms and Disney+ have a bonafide hit.
The tandem broke the anticipated news that the series will begin streaming on October 30th. While fans continue to wait on a trailer, the announcement of the streaming start date did come with some visuals to reference, particularly, a new logo.
The Mandalorian logo showcases a silhouette of Mando (Pedro Pascal) next to Baby Yoda. The visual hints have already started a swirl of speculation, only adding to the anticipation of some kind of trailer.
As for the availability of the episodes, season one followed a bit of an unusual schedule. With some episodes being paired up and others arriving weekly, the series was competing with the release of the late 2019 release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The second season will not have to contend with any other Star Wars releases however, no details have emerged yet as to what the schedule of episodes will look like.
The Mandalorian begins streaming on Disney+ on October 30th.
